Recitation in the prayer without moving the lips

Question

A certain person recites all the dhikrs of the prayer only inwardly, in his heart, without moving his lips at all. In such a case, will the prayer be valid or not?

Answer

If this person recites in this way while leading as imam or praying as a munfarid (individual), his prayer is not valid, because the obligation (fard) of recitation has not been fulfilled.
