Prayer Behind the Ahl-e Hadith

Question

Is prayer behind the Ahl-e Hadith valid or not, and are they included in Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama‘a or not?

Answer

If the Ahl-e Hadith do not revile and abuse the mujtahids, and lead the prayer while taking the Hanafi school into account in the fard and wajib acts, then prayer behind them will be valid. Such Ahl-e Hadith, who act upon the hadith conscientiously and bear no hatred towards the jurists (fuqaha’), are likewise not separate from Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama‘a.
