Following a Non-Muqallid in Prayer

Question

Is the prayer of those who follow the Hanafi school (taqlid) permissible behind an Ahl-e Hadith or not? If the answer is negative, what is the reply to those who affirm it?

Answer

If an Ahl-e Hadith does not call taqlid shirk, does not revile and abuse the mujtahid imams and the righteous predecessors ﵏, and leads the prayer while observing the madhhab of the Hanafis, then the prayer of the Hanafis behind him is valid. Behind one who does not observe the madhhab of the Hanafis it is not valid.
