Praying behind an imam who does not marry off his daughters

Question

A certain man is the imam of a mosque. He has two daughters: one is 30 years old and the other 25. When he is told to get them married, he makes excuses and is not willing to marry them off. For this reason most of the muqtadis dislike praying behind him. What is the ruling in this matter? Kindly inform us of the position of the noble Shari‘a.

Answer

It should be known what excuse he makes, so that it can be considered whether it is reasonable or unreasonable. Nevertheless, if he leads the prayer in accordance with the Shari‘a, the prayer behind him is valid.
