An Excused Person Holding the Congregation at Home
Question
I recite the Qur’an [to listeners] at my home, and I pray the fard of ‘Isha’ in congregation at home, because of my hundred-year-old frailty, due to which I cannot perform the fard prayer at night with everyone in the mosque. Therefore we perform the ‘Isha’ prayer in congregation right at our home. Is there any problem in this?
Answer
If, because of your excuse, you cannot go to the mosque and you pray in congregation at home, taking one or two people with you, then there is latitude for you in this.
