It is not right to leave the congregation of one mosque and go to another
Question
Zayd was making wudu’ in a mosque when the rak‘as of the congregation passed, or there was hope of catching only the final sitting (qa‘da). Zayd thought: “It would be good to go and pray in another mosque where there is hope of catching the whole congregation.” In such a case, is it permissible to move from one mosque to another or not?
Answer
Zayd should not do so. The right of this mosque [over him] has been established; he should join the congregation right there.
