The follower’s recitation of the thana’

Question

Question: what is [the ruling] when the imam is reciting and the follower (muqtadi) recites the thana’? And likewise, what is [the ruling] on the follower reciting the thana’ in a silent prayer when he is certain that the imam is reciting?

Answer

In a prayer with audible recitation (jahri), once the imam has begun the recitation, the follower should not recite the thana’.
