Praying alone with adhan and iqama

Question

A man prays in his home, makes the niyya of congregation, and in the audible (jahri) prayers recites the qira’a aloud and says the transitional takbirs aloud — will this man receive the reward of congregation? [If] in the wilderness he begins the prayer after giving the adhan and iqama alone, should he also say the takbir al-tahrima (opening takbir) aloud at the start or not?

Answer

If one abandons the congregation without an excuse and prays alone at home or in the wilderness, giving the adhan and iqama and saying the qira’a and the transitional takbirs aloud, one will not receive the reward of congregation. However, for one who is accustomed to [praying in] congregation and could not join it because of some necessity, it is better (afdal)
