The adhan in a child’s ear is given after washing him

Question

Should the adhan be given without washing the child, or after cleaning him? And what should be done if some word is forgotten?

Answer

After washing and cleaning the child, the full adhan should be given in the right ear and the full iqama in the left ear. If some word is omitted through forgetfulness, he should say it and [thereby] complete the adhan and iqama.
