Continuing or Stopping Qur’an Recitation during the Adhan

Question

When one hears the adhan, should one stop reciting the Qur’an (tilawa) at that time or not?

Answer

If he was reciting in the mosque, let him continue the recitation; but if he was outside the mosque or in his own house and the like, let him stop the recitation and respond to the adhan (“Tanwir al-Absar”, p. 414, vol. 1).
