Income from trade with money borrowed on interest
Question
Question: A person pawned jewellery, took some money on interest and put it into trade. After repaying it, this person repented from the heart that in future he will neither give interest nor take it. After this, is it permissible for a God-fearing person to eat and drink at his place or not?
Answer
Borrowing money by pawning jewellery and paying interest on it is a sin; but the income of the trade carried on with that borrowed money is not impermissible.
