Reciting the Qur’an Aloud While Others Are Studying

Question

[Is it permissible] to recite the Qur’an aloud in a room where several people are reading their religious books loudly, or studying silently, yet pay no attention at all to the recitation? In such a case, may one recite the Qur’an aloud or not?

Answer

If another person is already occupied with studying religious books, then the Qur’an should be recited quietly.
