Kissing the Holy Quran

While reciting the Holy Quran, is it permissible to bend over the Quran stand and kiss the Quran, that is, to give it a kiss?

Answer

Kissing the Holy Quran out of a desire for blessing and reverence is permissible; however, one should lift it up and kiss it, not kiss it while bending over it as it lies on the Quran stand.
