Nikah with the Sisters of Two Boys Each Suckled by the Other’s Mother

Question

Two women named Sajida and Sabi both lived in one house. Abdurrashid was born to Sajida and Muhammad Sharif to Sabi. The two boys have different fathers. Abdurrashid drank Sabi’s milk, and Muhammad Sharif drank Sajida’s milk. At present both of them are grown, and their respective younger sisters are also grown. Can Abdurrashid’s nikah be made with Muhammad Sharif’s sister, and Muhammad Sharif’s nikah with Abdurrashid’s sister, or not? Abdurrahman, Uri sub-district, Baramulla, Kashmir.

Answer

The nikah of the said Abdurrashid with any daughter of the said Sabi is not permissible, and the nikah of Muhammad Sharif with any daughter of the said Sajida is not permissible. By no means intend such a thing.
