A Special Bathing Arrangement for the Groom and a Woman Covering Him with the Edge of Her Sari
Question
When the boy goes to his in-laws’ home, a special arrangement is made for bathing him. A pit is dug, a plank is laid over it and the boy is seated on it, and over his head a mahram woman holds the edge of her sari or headscarf, keeping it there until he is dressed; then the boy is taken to the mosque, and a large number of women go along with him singing songs, most of which consist of obscene words.
