What Should a Son Do if His Father Insists on Band Music and the Like at the Wedding?
Question
An adult young man wishes to hold his wedding in accordance with the Prophetic sunna, but his father says that the wedding will be held with the customary rites (band music and the like will be included as well). What should the young man do in such a situation?
Answer
Let him pray to Allah Most High, and have his father counselled through some respected elder. Allah Most High is the Turner of hearts.
