Nikah with a Kitabiyya (a Woman of the People of the Book)
Question
Zayd is a Muslim. May he marry a kitabiyya (a woman of the People of the Book) or not? If he may, are there any conditions or the like?

In al-Fatawa al-‘Alamgiriyya it is stated: [ar]وكل من يعتقد دينًا سماويًا وله كتاب منزل كصحف إبراهيم وزبور داود فهو من أهل الكتاب، فيجوز مناكحتهم وأكل ذبائحهم[/ar] “Everyone who professes a heavenly religion and has a revealed scripture, such as the scrolls of Ibrahim and the Psalms (Zabur)
