A Nikah in a Church (Kanisa) Is Concluded

Question

[ar]هل يصح النكاح في الكنيسة؟ وهل يجوز في المواضع المرتفعة الخاصة له مشهورة بين الناس المبنية على يد السياسية؟[/ar] “Is a nikah valid in a church (kanisa)? And is it permissible in the elevated places designated for it, well known among people, built at the hand of the political (authority?)”

Answer

[ar]النكاح ينعقد بالإيجاب والقبول في أي مكان حصل له، ولا يختص بمكان دون مكان، ولكن يندب كونه في المسجد، وينبغي الخطبة قبله لأنه قربة[/ar] “The nikah is concluded by offer and acceptance (ijab and qabul) in whatever place they take place, and it is not restricted to one place rather than another; but it is recommended (mandub)
