How Many Times the Kalima Tayyiba Must Be Recited for the Dead to Be Forgiven

Reciting the kalima tayyiba how many times brings about the forgiveness of the dead — is the number a thousand or more?

Answer

In some books the number seventy thousand is written: that if the reward of this many [recitations] is conveyed to a deceased person, he is forgiven. In some places it is one hundred and twenty-five thousand.
