Du‘a after the Funeral Prayer

What is the ruling on du‘a after the funeral prayer?

Answer

The funeral prayer is itself a du‘a. Staying on the spot after it and making du‘a, as has become customary in some places, is not established in the Shari‘a. In “Khulasat al-Fatawa” it is recorded as makruh.
