Performing one funeral prayer at once over minors and adults

Question

For example, ten or twenty biers are placed together, and it is thought that praying over each one separately would be a great hardship; among them are the biers of a minor and an adult boy, a minor girl, a man and a woman — all of them. How should the prayer be performed over all of them at once, and which supplication should be recited so that the prayer is fulfilled for all the biers?

Answer

In such a situation he should do this: placing them all in a row in such a way that first, nearest the imam, are the biers of the men, then of the boys, then of the women, then of the girls, the prayer should be performed over all of them at once; and after the supplication for adults the supplication for minors should also be recited. So it is in “al-Tahtawi”.
