When to release the hands after the fourth takbir in the funeral prayer

Question

When should the hands be released after the additional takbirs of the funeral prayer have ended: before the salam, after the salam, or together with the salam?

Answer

In the funeral prayer, after the fourth takbir it is correct to release the hands before the salam, together with the salam, and after the salam as well — there is latitude for all three ways.
