A Book for Learning the Obligatory Religious Knowledge

Question: Which book will make it known how much religious knowledge is obligatory (fard) for every Muslim to learn? Please advise me. I have very little time, but I have a great desire to gain knowledge of the religion. May Allah reward you with good!

The heart was greatly pleased by your sentiment — that despite your busy occupation you wish to discharge the duty of learning the knowledge of the religion. Since you do not have enough time to go and study in the company of the ulama, it is best that you read all the parts of “Ta‘lim al-Islam” with someone.
