Payment for Tarawih

Question

Question: In villages and elsewhere a collection of donations is made for the hafiz in Tarawih. Is it permissible to contribute to it and for that hafiz to take it, or not? And what is the ruling on praying Tarawih behind that hafiz?

Answer

Giving and taking this collection is prohibited. One should pray Tarawih behind a hafiz who leads Tarawih without taking money.
