If Capacity Arises after Hajj Badal, the Obligation Does Not Fall Away
Question
Zayd studies at Madinah University; he was studying there for three years. Once he performed his own Hajj, and Hajj is not wajib (obligatory) upon his parents. In the second year Zayd performed Hajj badal (proxy Hajj) on behalf of his father, and in the third year on behalf of his mother. Is this Hajj badal of his valid or not? If not, what would be the way to make it permissible?
Answer
His Hajj was valid all three times: by the first Hajj his obligation was discharged, and the reward of the second and third Hajj reached the parents. But if Hajj becomes fard upon the parents, they will have to perform it; it will not fall away through his Hajj.
