The Hajj Journey with a Sister and Her Husband

Question

With which relative may a wife (women) make the Hajj journey? May the husband’s sister (i.e. the sister-in-law) and her husband travel with her?

Answer

A woman should go on the Hajj journey with her mahram (father, brother, paternal uncle, maternal uncle, etc.) and with her husband. Without them she is not permitted to go with her sister’s husband, her husband’s sister’s husband and the like, even if the sister, the husband’s sister and so on are with them.
