The blessed name ﷺ appeared naturally in a stone — what should be done with it?
Question
Question: Here, in the town of Thanna Mandi in Rajouri district, where our madrasa is located, about four miles away from it there is a village, Azmatabad — extremely backward and little known. There are a few young men there who have no knowledge of religion and who outwardly are sinful and dissolute (fasiq and fajir). A year ago they made a plan to build a jami‘ mosque there and have already started the work.
Answer
This stone should be set high up and prominently in the construction of the mosque, so that onlookers can see it. Apparently this is a natural structure of the stone. If the form of the blessed name ﷺ has appeared, then a lesson should be taken from it: that people should acquire ever more the knowledge brought by the Prophet ﷺ, and learn and spread his religion.
