Beef in a dream

Question

Question: My father appeared to me, this humble one, in a dream. He said: “Son, give another dhari (a unit of weight, about five sers) of beef,” and then he said: “Allah will give you much.” Since that very moment I have been deeply preoccupied with it. What is the interpretation of this dream?

Answer

Convey reward to your late father by reciting the Noble Qur’an, praying Salat al-Tasbih, giving charity (sadaqa) — in short, by any good deed; meat has no particular distinction here. However, hold firmly to the symbols of Islam (sha‘a’ir) as far as you can, and do not fall short in this because of your ties with anyone.
