Staying and eating at the in-laws’ home

Question

Hinda, the wife of Zayd by nikah, goes to her father Bakr’s place, and Bakr himself fully bears the expenses of her lodging and food. Bakr does not appear to have any displeasure about this. Zayd too is sometimes a guest at Bakr’s, and sometimes he also senses displeasure. In such a situation, what is the ruling on Zayd himself staying there?

Answer

If Zayd’s wife stays at her father’s house with Zayd’s permission and the wife’s father gladly bears his daughter’s expenses, then there is no blame on Zayd. And if they feed Zayd willingly, then too there is no blame.
