Intercourse with one’s wife does not become haram even after forty years
Question
My wife has reached the age of 40 and her menstruation (hayd) has stopped. Is intercourse with her permissible for me or not?
Answer
Neither reaching the age of forty nor the stopping of menstruation annuls the nikah, nor does the wife become haram; rather, the nikah remains in force as before, and intercourse (jimaʿ) is permissible without any hesitation. Do not entertain any doubt.
