Lending unlawful wealth

Question

Question: Zayd lent ‘Amr money out of unlawful wealth, and after that ‘Amr repaid Zayd’s loan from his own lawful wealth. Is this sum which ‘Amr gave to Zayd halal or haram?

Answer

The sum which ‘Amr gave to Zayd from lawful wealth by way of repaying the loan is halal, and the sum which Zayd gave to ‘Amr as a loan is not halal.
