The ruling on income mixed from haram and halal
Question
Question: A company in which there is music (musical instruments), in which women also perform shows, and in which there are also animals — may part of its income be spent on an Islamic madrasa or not?
Answer
If there is also halal income and it predominates, then using it oneself and giving it to madrasas and the like is right. If haram income predominates, then one should not use it oneself; rather it should be spent on the poor and needy, whether those poor are connected with Islamic madrasas or not.
