The profession of a butcher

Question

Question: May a Muslim follow the profession of a butcher, that is, where the cow is permitted, may he sell beef or not? (2) From the point of view of the Shari‘a, if a Muslim eats beef for forty days in a row, does his heart become black? (3) Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ like meat or not?

Answer

Protecting one’s honour is also necessary: although the profession of a butcher is permissible in itself, breaking the law is courting danger. (2) This is baseless and wrong. (3) The Messenger of Allah ﷺ liked meat.
