Was the Prophet ﷺ born circumcised?

Question

That some of the prophets were born circumcised is (mentioned) in the fifth part of “Shami”, p. 467. But was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ born circumcised or not?

Answer

[ar]قد اختلف الرواة والحفاظ في ولادة نبينا ﷺ مختونًا، ولم يصح فيه شيء، وأطال الذهبي في رد قول الحاكم إنه لو تواترت به الرواية، وقد ثبت عندهم ضعف الحديث، وقال بعض المحققين من الحفاظ: الأشبه بالصواب أنه لم يولد مختونًا[/ar] “The narrators and the hadith masters (huffaz) differed about whether our Prophet ﷺ was born circumcised, and nothing authentic (has come) about it.
