Looking at the ʿawra during menstruation, postnatal bleeding and the like, and the supplication for intimacy
Question
What are the four well-known ways of intimacy, and what is its supplication? If someone, outside of menstruation (hayd), looked at what is between the navel and the knee, will he be sinful, and what will the sin be during the days of menstruation or postnatal bleeding (nifas)?
Answer
The supplication is: [ar]بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا[/ar] “In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Satan away from us and keep Satan away from what You provide us” (ʿAmal al-Yawm wa al-Layla). Also, before intimacy it is commendable (mustahsan)
