Dyeing with henna

Question

Is it permissible for a man to apply henna or dye (khidab) to his beard, or to apply henna to the soles of his feet to remove heat?

Answer

For a man to apply dye (khidab) and henna to his beard is permissible according to the Shari‘a; to apply henna to the hands and feet is not permissible. To remove heat, he should ask a physician and apply something else.
