Which colour of cloth is forbidden for a man

Question: What colour of cloth is it permissible for a man to wear?

Answer

It is makruh for a man to wear cloth of pure red and saffron colour; every other colour is fine. One should take care not to adopt the distinctive mark (shi‘ar) of any outsider.
