Question: Which colours are impermissible for a man?

Answer

[ar]وكره لبس المعصفر والمزعفر الأحمر والأصفر للرجال، ولا بأس بسائر الألوان[/ar] “It is makruh for men to wear what is dyed with safflower (mu‘asfar) and with saffron (muza‘far) — the red and the yellow — and there is no harm in all other colours” (Tanwir al-Absar, vol. 5, p. 351).
