Birth control
Question
Is birth control permissible or not? If it is not permissible, as is commonly known, then what is the reason for that?
Answer
Since in the quoted passage of Fath al-Mulhim, after listing the causes of ʿazl, it is explicitly stated: [ar]وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَا يُغْنِي شَيْئًا[/ar] “And none of that avails anything,” what room is left for this question? Birth control is not established by this passage of Fath al-Mulhim.
