A case in which ʿazl is permissible

Question

Hinda has had a miscarriage 5 times within a period of three to four years, and treatment is also ongoing. During pregnancy she has to endure severe suffering. In such a case, may ʿazl (coitus interruptus) be practised or not?

Answer

Since the wife is in this condition, ʿazl is permitted with the wife’s consent until she recovers and regains strength.
