Coca-Cola

Question

A bottle containing 75 milligrams of water: if a few drops of wine are added to it, no intoxication results and its colour or taste does not change. Some medicines come with wine mixed in them, which are very hard to avoid. Or, for example, Coca-Cola: there is research that it contains wine, and people consume it without hesitation. Please write out the full state of the matter.

Answer

Wine that is haram — even a single drop of it is haram, whether intoxication, taste or colour appears or not. As for Coca-Cola, the presence of wine in it is not known; a fatwa declaring it prohibited cannot be given without investigation.
