The ruling on the milk and meat of an animal fed with unlawfully obtained leaves
Question
Question: Some people pluck leaves without the owner’s permission and bring them, and people buy them and feed them to their animals. What is the ruling on drinking the milk of these animals, and on their sacrifice and ‘aqiqa?
Answer
Plucking leaves without the owner’s permission and selling them is forbidden; buying leaves from such people is also forbidden (for permission it is enough that the owner knows and does not forbid it). However, the milk and meat of an animal that has been fed these leaves are not haram.
