There Is No Islamic Government Anywhere — the Reason for It

Question

Mawlana Sayyid Abul A‘la Mawdudi, in his book Huquq al-Zawjayn, pp. 97 to 108, has expressed his juristic opinions regarding the apostasy of one of the spouses, the option of puberty (khiyar al-bulugh), the conditions of compulsory guardianship (wilayat al-ijbar), and the dower (mahr). Are they correct? If not, kindly give guidance. (2)

Answer

(1) More than twenty years have passed since a preacher of Jamaat-e-Islami gave [me] that book. At that time, having studied it, I wrote down the points in it that were contrary to Hanafi fiqh and handed them to them, and returned the book as well. Now I have neither the book nor those singular opinions (tafarrudat) of his.
