Basic Points for Considering Jamaat-e-Islami, from Which Its Ruling Becomes Clear

Question

(1) Is Jamaat-e-Islami upon the truth, or is it misguided? And what is your opinion regarding its fundamental creed? (2) Is prayer valid behind the members of this Jamaat or not? (3) Is it right or wrong for us to oppose this Jamaat? (4) Can the service of members of this Jamaat be accepted in religious madrasas or not? (5) What is the ruling on attending the gatherings of this Jamaat and reading its literature?

Answer

I submit a few points; kindly reflect upon them. (1) The noble Companions ﵃ are the very first generation (tabaqa): it was they whom the Prophet ﷺ taught the religion of Islam, in whose hearts he firmly rooted certainty of it, and, by having them act upon it, firmly rooted it in their lives.
