Standing surety for an accused person
Question
Question: Out of enmity, a person was imprisoned in a murder case, and witnesses were also produced to his being the killer. Is it permissible to become a surety for such a person, to try to have him released on bail (surety), and to assist him, or not?
Answer
If in reality such a person is not the killer, but a false murder case is being brought against him out of enmity, then standing surety for him and trying to save him is correct according to the Shari‘a and earns reward.
