Do Saints Come After Death Demanding That a Sheet Be Laid on Their Shrine?

Question

Can Nizam al-Din Awliya ﵀ and Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir Jilani ﵀ come after death and demand: “Come to our shrine and lay a sheet on it,” tell of the unseen, and make known who and where they are, or not? And can they fulfil the du‘as that are made on going to their shrines, or not?

Answer

Hazrat Nizam al-Din Awliya ﵀, Hazrat ‘Abd al-Qadir Jilani ﵀, Hazrat Khwaja Mu‘in al-Din Ajmeri ﵀ and Hazrat Makhdum ‘Ali Ahmad Sabir Kaliyari ﵀ were very great saints. Coming after their passing and troubling anyone is not the doing of these venerable men; they neither demand that a lamp, a sheet or a cover be placed on their graves, nor give permission to act so.
