Worship of an Artificial Grave

Question

Zayd has made an artificial grave and worships it himself and has others worship it. Of what degree is this crime?

Answer

He deserves the curse [of Allah]; repentance (tawba) is obligatory upon him, and he should also renew his iman (tajdid al-iman) and renew his nikah.
