Closing Business on 10 Muharram and 12 Rabi‘ al-Awwal

Question

Some people say that on 10 Muharram and 12 Rabi‘ al-Awwal business should be closed; others oppose this. The question is: what is the ruling of the Sacred Law?

Answer

There is no command from the Sacred Law to close business on these two days; to regard it as a ruling of the Sacred Law is wrong.
