الْحَلَالُ بَيِّنٌ وَالْحَرَامُ بَيِّنٌ، وَبَيْنَهُمَا مُشَبَّهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنِ اتَّقَى الْمُشَبَّهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ وَعِرْضِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

Horse meat — is it halal?

Description

Horse and foal meat — meat of horses. Horses are usually stunned with a captive bolt or killed by firearm before slaughter; per EFSA slaughter without stunning might occur but there is no scientific information. In 2017 Kazakhstan imported horse meat from Argentina, Uruguay etc. Horse meat products may contain pork and pork fat, beef and mutton fat, natural casings (incl. bladder), blood, wine and beer, carmine.
