E628 Dipotassium guanylate — is it halal?

Description

A flavour enhancer: the dipotassium salt of guanosine 5′-monophosphate — the same 5′-GMP as in E 626 and E 627, as the potassium salt. The package has no process specifically for the potassium salt; routes to 5′-GMP are described (direct fermentation, fermentation of XMP or guanosine, yeast RNA hydrolysis), and per Takeda 5′-GMP may be recovered, among others, as «the dipotassium salt».
